When wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone National Park, the landscape transformed. Overgrazed fields began to regenerate, birds and beavers returned, and riverbanks grew strong again. All because one species—the right species—came back. Wolves didn’t just adapt; they restored, reshaped, and led the system back into balance.
